The Massachusetts Library System and the Rhode Island Office of Library & Information Services presents the seventh annual Teen Summit: a day of "connections"-connecting with our teens, our communities and each other.
We are thrilled to welcome Crystle Martin as our keynote speaker, presenting "Connected Learning in Practice: Youth Supported Learning in Libraries". Ms. Martin is a postdoctoral research fellow for the Connected Learning Research Network at the Digital Media and Learning Hub at University of California.
We're also excited about our breakout sessions: "Teens & Tech: Connecting the Past to the Future" presented by Kate Wells and Shannon Lake of the Providence (RI) Public Library's Teen Tech Squad and Jessi Snow, Teen Services Team Leader, talking about the new Teen Central space at the Boston Public Library in "What Worked: Creating a Teen Space" at the Central Boston Public Library.
And we're also planning to hear from YOU during the Teen Summit's school/public library collaboration "Shout & Share" - step up to the mic and give us your best idea for working together!
